4 Stars Coleman Viper Tent - 20/09/05

I have used a viper tent in Scottish hill conditions in May 2005 at 700 metres above sea level on the way to hills near Ullapool. Conditions were blizard and in the morning the tent had snow twelve inches up the sides of the tent. The only problem experienced was finding all the tent pegs in the snow when I took the tent down. A second ecpedition to the Fannichs at 550 metres above sea level in September 2005 in very windy and gale force conditions caused the tent pole to bend slightly. My companions tent at the same location collapsed at 2am.While I would not recommend the Viper for these conditions I have found it a very good tent considering that I bought it because of its light weight.
